THE FEMALE ENGAGEMENT COURSE CONCLUDES IN MOTTA DI LIVENZA

The Female Engagement Course (FEC 01/26) concluded on 17 April 2026 at the Multinational CIMIC Group Headquarters, located at “Mario Fiore” Barracks in Motta di Livenza. Delivered over one week, the course was designed to prepare personnel assigned to operate within a Female Engagement Team in operational contexts.

Its purpose was to provide participants with knowledge and tools relevant to understanding the civil dimension of the operational environment and to engaging with specific non-military actors. Particular attention was given to the role of Female Engagement Teams in creating the conditions for effective interaction with vulnerable population groups, including women, children and the elderly, especially in cultural settings where such engagement may otherwise be limited.

The course was open to both military and civilian personnel, including participants not necessarily employed in specific CIMIC roles but whose work benefits from a better understanding of the civil environment and CIMIC principles. In line with the broader educational approach of the Multinational CIMIC Group, the course was also open to civilian representatives from international organisations, governmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and academia. Through lessons, discussions and applied activities, the course enabled participants to strengthen their understanding of context, cultural awareness and engagement approaches relevant to operational environments in which interaction with the civil sphere is a significant factor.
