NATO CIMIC FIELD/STAFF WORKER COURSE 01/26: FROM THEORY TO PRACTICE

The NATO CIMIC Field/Staff Worker Course 01/26 continues at the Multinational CIMIC Group, Caserma “Mario Fiore”, in Motta di Livenza.

Conducted by MNCG HQ CJ7 – Education Section, the course provides military and civilian participants with the knowledge and practical tools required to conduct Civil-Military Cooperation and Civil-Military Interaction activities in a modern operational environment.

After the initial theoretical phase, participants are engaged in practical activities aimed at applying the principles of NATO CIMIC doctrine, negotiation techniques and reporting procedures.

The exercises are designed to test the understanding of the concepts taught during the course and to strengthen the ability to operate within a staff and field environment. The use of live role players and realistic simulated scenarios allows participants to deal with situations connected to the civil environment, interaction with civil actors and the collection and reporting of relevant information.

These activities are conducted within a training framework designed to prepare personnel for a NATO Article 5 operation.

The course reinforces the role of CIMIC as a key function in support of commanders and staffs, particularly in contexts where the understanding of the civil environment is essential to planning and conducting military operations.
