Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), March 2026. From 23 to 25 March 2026, the Military Strategic Partnerships Conference (MSPC 2026) was held at Hotel Hills Conference Center in Sarajevo. Organised by SHAPE’s Partnerships Directorate, the annual event brought together NATO stakeholders and Partner Nations to exchange views on current partnership priorities and cooperation frameworks.
The 2026 edition focused on the theme “Partnering to Strengthen Resilience”. During the second day of the conference, the Commander of the Multinational CIMIC Group delivered a presentation addressing NATO’s approach to Civil-Military Cooperation in support of resilience. The intervention highlighted the role of CIMIC in supporting Allied and Partner nations in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from shocks generated by crises, instability, and warfighting scenarios. Particular emphasis was placed on the contribution of CIMIC operators in enabling coordination with the civil environment, supporting situational awareness, and facilitating the coherent integration of military efforts within a broader resilience-oriented approach.
In this context, CIMIC was presented as a relevant capability for strengthening preparedness, responsiveness, and continuity across complex operational environments. MNCG also took part in the exhibition area, where its personnel engaged with participants to present the Group’s education and training opportunities. The stand provided an opportunity to promote MNCG’s contribution to the development of CIMIC knowledge and capabilities, not only across the Alliance, but also among Partner Nations closely engaged in cooperative activities and reciprocal support with NATO.
Through both its conference contribution and exhibition presence, the Multinational CIMIC Group reaffirmed its role as a recognised actor in CIMIC education, training, and capability development within the NATO partnership framework, while underlining the value of CIMIC in strengthening resilience through cooperation.
MNCG is leading the way on civil-military cooperation.
