SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FEMALE ENGAGEMENT COURSE AT MNCG

28 NATO participants trained in Motta di Livenza to enhance dialogue with local female populations in operational contexts, through an inclusive and realistic approach inspired by the UNIFIL scenario

Motta di Livenza, 11 April 2025 – The Female Engagement Course successfully concluded on 11 April at the Multinational CIMIC Group Headquarters in Motta di Livenza. Held from 7 to 11 April, the course gathered 28 military and civilian participants from various NATO member countries. Designed to prepare personnel for effective interaction with local female populations in mission areas, the course provided in-depth training on gender dynamics and emphasized the strategic importance of female engagement in peacekeeping operations. A distinctive feature of this edition was the practical application of an operational scenario inspired by the UNIFIL mission, offering participants a realistic and relevant context to develop their skills. Additionally, several sessions were delivered by experts connected via videoconference from active conflict zones – including Ukraine – contributing timely operational insights and increasing the relevance of the training content. Throughout the week, participants engaged in interactive lessons, group work, and scenario-based exercises, acquiring essential tools to build trust, collect relevant information, and foster dialogue with women in complex environments. The course underscored the strategic value of integrating a gender perspective into mission planning and execution, thus improving operational effectiveness and local community acceptance. The Female Engagement Course is a cornerstone of the Multinational CIMIC Group’s training offer, which continues to evolve in response to the challenges of modern military operations and the growing focus on inclusive civil-military engagement strategies.
