DJIBUTI: QIP IN FAVOUR OF FISHING PROGRAM

MNCG operators coordinated a project to support and sustain the djibutian fishing areas

Djibuti, October, 2021.
In recent weeks, the closing ceremony of a quick impact project, developed by CIMIC operators as part of the Italian Military Support Base staff (BMIS), was held in support of the "Program d'Appui a la Reduction de la Vulnerabilité dans les zones de peches Costieres", focused on reducing the vulnerabilities of the Djbutian fishing zones.
CIMIC operators, in coordination with local authorities, supplied local fishermen with fishing nets, ice boxes, life jackets, anchors and navigation lights in order to increase catch, sales and possibly new jobs opportunities.
The project also included the restoration of a dinghy of the Ministerial Department.
