From 11th to 13th December, a meeting between representatives of the Civil Military Cooperation Section of the Georgian Defense General Staff and a delegation of the Multinational CIMIC Group took place in Tiblisi - Georgia.
The visit was held within the framework of a bilateral agreement between the Italian and the Georgian Army and it was aimed to compare and share the significant operational and training experiences gained in the specific field of civil-military cooperation.
A briefing on the Multinational CIMIC Group was also presented highlighting that this is the only CIMIC operating unit within NATO which is able to support national and NATO contingents, as part of a global approach to the prevention and management of any crisis.
The Multinational CIMIC Group for the incoming year has been entrusted with the task of implementing the training of Georgian officers who will operate in the civil and military cooperation field.
At the end of the visit the delegation was received by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy in Georgia, Antonio Enrico Bartoli, to explain him the activity ran in Georgia.
