During the ceremony marking the 165th Anniversary of the Italian Army, held on 5 May 2026 in L’Aquila, the War Flag of the 7° Reggimento CIMIC was awarded the Silver Medal for Army Valour. 

The recognition reflects the professionalism, operational commitment and contribution provided by the Regiment in support of national and multinational activities, confirming the relevance of CIMIC capabilities within today’s operational environment. 

Within the broader NATO CIMIC community, the 7th CIMIC Regiment continues to provide a relevant specialist capability focused on interoperability, coordination with civilian actors and support to operational effectiveness. 

The decoration of the War Flag further highlights the role of Civil-Military Cooperation as an essential capability in contemporary operations and represents a source of pride for the Multinational CIMIC Group.
